Abstract
Anatomical and physiological investigations indicate that facial parasympathetic (FP) innervation to blood vessels in the eye can dilate uveal vessels and raise the intraocular pressure. There is evidence that both acetylcholine and a vasoactive intestinal polypeptide (VIP) act as neurotransmitters in this system.Keywords
