Abstract
This note describes the SERC Meteorological Database, developed to meet the needs of building scientists and architects for a set of easily accessible long-term hourly weather data for the UK. The database contains data for seven weather stations for a period of about eight years. The raw data has also been summarised to produce daily, monthly and yearly figures. Both raw and summary data can be assessed using the SERC computer network SERCNET, the latter interactively. Future developments of the system include increased accessibility for users, more user-friendly literature and software and the addition to the database of Bracknell vertical surface radiation measurements. Keywords
