Abstract
We report a method of sample preparation of thallium containing superconducting oxide system and the effects of subsequent heat treatment on superconducting properties of the compounds with the nominal composition TlCa3BaCu3O y , Tl2CaBa2Cu2O y and Tl2Ca2Ba2Cu3O y . Zero resistance at 123 K and the onset of superconductivity around 155 K have been achieved. In this paper, the optimum processing variables and the X-ray diffraction results are discussed. Keywords
