Abstract
This paper attempts to show how recent developments in prevocational and vocational education can be brought together with some of the demands of the National Curriculum which concentrate on academic subjects. It proposes an integration of the expertise and understanding of work in the curriculum of all pupils by putting forward a new perspective: Vocational Aspects of Academic Learning (VAAL).Keywords
