Abstract
Methods to calculate detection limits of spectrographic techniques in terms of blank and background are described. Detection limits of “point‐to‐plane” and “plane‐to‐plane” spark excitation for spectrographic determination of Yttrium in solution are compared. The influence of electrode shape and of CsCl‐carrier addition is discussed. Keywords
