Abstract
Current status of ballistocardiography is critically appraised in light of developments during past 2 years. Important developments include improved instrumental methods (ultra-low frequency systems) and experimental work in animals relating the ballistocardiogram to cardiovascular physiology. Application of new methods to clinical studies in humans has begun, but limited experience does not permit evaluation at present. Keywords
