Abstract
Severe diarrhea following bone marrow transplantation may be a serious complication; the precise etiology should be determined in order to provide appropriate therapy. We report two patients in whom profuse diarrhea was associated with cryptosporidium infections. The importance of clinicians and pathologists being aware of the complication in this clinical setting and the use of appropriate techniques for the isolation and identification of the microorganism are emphasized. Keywords
