Abstract
In a study concerned with the integration of disabled students into regular schools, a large number of normal Australian schoolchildren were measured on both the Piers‐Harris Self Concept Scale and the Coopersmith Self‐Esteem Inventory. Data from the former validate the norms published in the July 1985 issue of the Australian Psychologist while results from the latter provide mean grade values for children from grades 2 through 10. A caveat is also issued regarding the psychometric properties of the Coopersmith Inventory as a measure of self‐esteem.
