Effect of Intravenous Injection of Marihuana

Abstract
Two cases of severe illness occurred following the intravenous injection of marihuana. Injection produces immediate severe body tremors with tachycardia, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Diffuse aching pains, hypotension, non-oliguric renal failure, thrombocytopenia, and leukopenia follow. In the cases we saw, all changes have been reversible.
