Abstract
Sedatives and So ForthAnything that improves the patient's psychologic outlook will improve his angina or at least make the pain easier to bear. Clinical experience indicates the value of sedatives even though they are not frequently followed by an appreciable increase in exercise tolerance or an improvement in the exercise electrocardiogram. Many purines, nitrites and so forth are available in tablets combined with various barbiturates and similar preparations. It seems advisable to prescribe such drugs separately, to determine the optimum dosage of each as well as any untoward effects, before they are prescribed in a tablet containing the combination. . . .Keywords
