Abstract
The gas‐phase Raman spectrum of the v8 band of ethylene has been analysed for Coriolis perturbation due to a‐type interaction between v8(b2g) and v6(b1g). The main rotational features in the vibration‐rotation band have been assigned and the analysis yielded v8 = 940.6 cm−1, |ζ| = 0.67 ± ± 0.08.Keywords
