Abstract
This article describes a new approach to making teachers comfortable in their classroom discussions with students about drugs, alcohol and smoking. Selected plays were performed for an audience of teachers and students who then talked about the issues that emerged through drama. Talking about personal attitudes, values, and convictions about drug use and abuse in a neutral setting opened the way for new understanding and helped bridge the traditional teacher student gap.Keywords
