Abstract
Low- and high-speed airflows were forced through and across hive entrances to observe changes in the flight activity of honeybees. With hives having two entrances, more bees consistently entered their hives where a low-speed airflow was moving outwards, and departed where the airflow was inwards. A high-speed airflow parallel to the hive entrance hindered most bees from leaving, and stopped all bees from returning. Keywords
