Abstract
Human red cell stroma has been found to contain 2% hexoses, 1.2% hexosamine and 1.2% sialic acid. These stroma values remain constant during storage of whole blood in the cold for 45 days. Monosaccharides found in stroma were galactose, glucose, mannose and fucose. Keywords
