Renal Amyloidosis and Hodgkin's Disease in a Child

Abstract
ALTHOUGH Hodgkin's disease and renal amyloidosis are not uncommon individual entities, their association in the same patient is rare. When the association does occur, it is usual for the nephrotic syndrome to appear after Hodgkin's disease is already well established. The subject of amyloidosis in Hodgkin's disease was extensively reviewed by Wallace et al in 1950.1 Since this report, several new instances of this combination have been reported in adults.2 We thought that the following case would be of interest, since we could find no report of the association of these conditions during childhood in the literature. Report of a Case An 8-year-old girl, was first admitted to Hacettepe Children's Hospital on Feb 14, 1966, because of lymphadenopathy over the left side of the neck.
