Abstract
What is the mind and perception of the very young child like? How can the early childhood specialist best understand the sense-making potential of the child? Lee explores two antithetical views, the Piagetian egocentric view of the child developing through only its own perspective and a sociocentric view of the child's innate sociality enabling it to take and share the perspectives of others. Keywords
