Abstract
Electrocardiograms of patients suffering from oriental beriberi are usually abnormal and the changes observed are similar to those reported as characteristic for occidental beriberi, and definite enough to be of some diagnostic value in diagnosis of the disease. Most commonly the T wave is inverted, and the Q-T interval is prolonged. Brachycardia is less common, as is a depression of the S-T interval and premature beats. The ecg all returned to normal within 6 weeks following corrective therapy. Keywords
