Abstract
Increasing demand for paraprofessional home care workers is already straining the quantity and quality of workers entering the field. The author describes variables that affect the supply and demand for home care workers, barriers to change in the home care labor market, and the importance of the government as a key variable in any discussion of the homecare labor market.Keywords
