Abstract
The hermaphrodite goose barnacle has 26 chromosomes in somatic cells and 13 in spermatocytes and maturing eggs. No heteromorphic sex chromosomes are observed nor is there any indication of chromosomal regulation of either the Angiostomum or the Icerya type. The chromosomal situation is in favor of Darwin''s theory of primitive hermaphrodism in Cirripedia. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
