Abstract
In a double-blind crossover trial of three days duration on each drug, trimebutine in a dose of 200 mg three times daily was significantly more effective than placebo in relieving the symptoms of mild to moderate degrees of spastic colon (p<0.001). The only side-effect necessitating discontinuation of treatment was one case of vomiting. Keywords
