Abstract
Radioactive selenium in phosphate buffer injected into male Sprague-Dawley rats of 230-300 g weight demonstrated that (l)Se75 gains entrance to salivary glands, saliva, and teeth within minutes post injection; (2) salivary glands apparently do not concentrate Se during early post injection period; (3) extracted, intact incisors immersed in Se solution absorb Se; (4) however, a correlation is suggested between activity in the tissues studied and activity in the "freely diffusible fraction" and volume flow of blood. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
