A comment on the use of spectral radius of a matrix

Abstract

This correspondence calls attention to the misuse of the spectral radius of system matrices in stability analysis. It is demonstrated via examples that Pimin{i=1}max{n} A_{i} may diverge even if ho(A_{i}) < 1 for all i .
