Controllable form state variables obtained from an arbitrarily fast adaptive observer

Abstract
A simplified form for an adaptive observer is presented which estimates both the states and parameters of an unknown linear time-invariant system. Unlike previous adaptive observers, the new structure generates the controllable form state variables. The adaptive scheme is shown to be globally asymptotically stable and arbitrarily fast.Keywords
