Abstract
The study of molecular phenomena in liquids using ultrasonic measurements is reviewed. Structural and isomeric relaxation are discussed in reasonable detail to illustrate the methods of research. There are brief discussions of viscoelastic and relaxation theory, techniques of measurement, vibrational relaxation, relaxation caused by molecular association, critical-point phenomena, and acoustic cavitation. Keywords
