Abstract
The present report concerns a patient with both clinical and biochemical abnormalities of liver function which were associated with an apparently different histologic type of primary renal tumor. At autopsy, a localized spindle-celled tumor (considered to be a sarcoma) of the kidney was found, but no specific morphologic changes in the hepatic parenchyma or hepatic vessels were present to account for the features of hepatic failure observed in life.
