Abstract
In its chemical and physical properties the material described resembles the causative agent of the Rous chicken tumor I, reported upon by K. G. Stern and F. Duran-Reynals, and also the macro-molecular material isolated by A. Claude from normal chick embryos. Unlike the virus proteins isolated by Stanley, et al., from plants, these materials do not represent pure nucleoproteins but much more complex chemical structures of the type encountered in the analysis of protoplasm. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
