Abstract
Dermatofibrosarcoma is a relatively common, locally aggressive, soft tissue fibrous histiocytoma. Ignorance of its marked propensity for locally invasive growth can lead to inadequate excision, and patients often suffer multiple recurrences. We present a case of dermatofibrosarcoma arising on the hand, and discuss its natural history and proper surgical therapy. Keywords
