Abstract
A shift in the frequency spectrum of a structure induced by a local temperature rise is measured. This technique of detecting shifts in the frequency spectrum of a structure may be used to detect slight temperature-induced changes in stress distribution, which are in turn caused by local perturbation in the temperature distribution in the structure. Results from a small superconducting coil are presented. Keywords
