Abstract
In performance analysis of communication networks, simulation modeling is often used because it provides a convenient and reliable tool for such studies. In this paper, the authors present the use of a discrete-event simulation language- CSIM-to model the local networks by providing various simulation case studies. A description of CSIM is provided along with fragments of the code for simulating several token ring network models, as examples. Keywords
