Abstract
A new and efficient method for the hydrolytic cleavage of C=N bond of dimethyl and tosylhydrazones 1, to yield their corresponding carbonyl compounds 2, with catalytic quantities of bismuth trichloride in wet tetrahydrofuran under microwave irradiation has been developed.Keywords
