Abstract
Physical exercise is advocated as an important form of preventative medicine and in the treatment of various cardiovascular diseases. This review looks at whether a similar approach may be of value in chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD). Few studies have been properly controlled and outcome measures are not well defined. However, it is clear that exercise is safe and increases work capacity and sense of well being. Keywords
