Abstract
The refractive index of a high purity grade of toluene has been determined by the minimum deviation method for the purpose of standardising a liquid V-block refractometer. Measurements, at 20 degrees C, have been made at 12 wavelengths from 405 to 707 nm. Temperature coefficients of refractive index have also been determined in the range 19 to 21 degrees C.Keywords
