Minéraux argileux des sédiments marins, littoraux et fluviatiles de la région de Tuléar (Madagascar)

Abstract
Clay minerals are determined in the marine, littoral and fluvial sediments around Tulear (Madagascar). The two supplying rivers provide different deposits, one richer in kaolinite and the other in montmorillonite. Both phyllite types are well-crystallized, inherited from catchment areas and do not present any evolution in the different marine environments. Their distribution pattern is well explained by a differential sedimentation due to the differences of particle sizes.
