Abstract
Every early intervention model is based on a set of principles that reflects assumptions about how children develop and learn. Parent-child interaction offers an especially powerful focus and context for early intervention by providing an opportunity to support the experiences of the two members of this interaction dyad. This article describes one model for enhancing developmental opportunities for the child by expanding on and strengthening the parent-child relationship in a group environment.
