Abstract
Composite polymer electrolytes are of interest for solid-state electrochemical devices. In this paper we use solid-state NMR to investigate the cation dynamics of poly(ethylene oxide)- (PEO-) based electrolytes, to which nanoscale ceramics has been added. The fillers give origin to nanocomposites. The NMR linewidth is dominated by Li-H magnetic dipolar interaction. The spin-lattice relaxation is chiefly controlled by electric quadrupolar interaction. The spin dynamics is sensibly influenced by the filler nanoparticles, which act as homogeneizing agents for the polymer.
