Abstract
It has been shown that a thermal emf may be established between magnetized and unmagnetized elements of any ferromagnetic substance. In this paper the thermal emfs developed between longitudinally and transversely magnetized elements of the same ferromagnetic substance are quantitatively studied. Nickel and iron, both in the annealed and unannealed conditions, have been investigated.
