Case Study Comparisons of Successful and Problem Old People

Abstract
This study of 533 elderly men and women was based on an investigation of a group of middle class older people, a section which has often been neglected in social investigations. The conclusion is reached that there are many well adjusted old people in this population group whose success in old age is largely because of their many interests and activities and their continued usefulness to others.
