Abstract
Although autostapling for the gastrointestinal tract is well established, some doubt exists over whether such techniques are suitable for the closure of diverticula cosisting of mucosa alone. Seven cases of paryngeal pouch and 2 cases of esophageal diverticulum were treated by excision and closure using a stapling device. This has proved to be a satisfactory method of closure when appropriate-size staples are used. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
