Abstract
A small 1D ring in a magnetic field is considered in the tight-binding approximation. The current density in the perfect leads attached to the ring is determined by the linear response theory exactly. The basic flux-periodicity of the current oscillations is hc/e. Extending the calculations to a quasi-1D system it is shown that the period of oscillations changes to hc/2e.Keywords
