Abstract
One thousand urban families reported significant degrees of dissatisfaction with medical and hospital care due to decreasing personal relationship between patient and paramedical team. Interviews showed little knowledge of public health functions, and very little critical knowledge of quasi-medical services. Middle-class families resented incomplete coverage by Blue Shield medical-surgical insurance. The conclusion is offered that medical services need improvement in patient-personnel relations. Keywords
