Abstract
To the Editor: The article by Nelson and Crocker1 omits reference to other experiments in collaboration between major state institutions, especially those concerned with the mentally ill, and the university academic centers.2 We should like to note one such experience that has been in effect for 16 years in Colorado.Colorado State Hospital in Pueblo, Colorado, and the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Denver began, in 1962, a program of staffing the State Hospital in part with "career residents in psychiatry."
