Abstract
A relation found experimentally between tube voltage and oscillation frequency, when plasma electron oscillations are excited in a hot-cathode low-pressure discharge, is shown to be consistent with the usual assumption that modulation of the beam takes place in an oscillating sheet at a short distance from the cathode in the plasma.Keywords
