Abstract
Hypno-Operant therapy was used in treating a 22-year-old male college student diagnosed as a schizoid personality. The procedure included: defining specific problems and goals; reinforcing positive action under hypnosis; employing posthypnotic suggestion to facilitate behavior change at home; and homework assignments between sessions. Changes in problem behaviors were measured using a single-subject reversal research design. Significant behavior changes were recorded and maintained at five months, one year, and two year follow-up interviews. Hypno-Operant Therapy may be a viable treatment for this type client. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
