Abstract
Some general properties of recently introduced inputs-output multistructural (overlapping) models are analysed and compared with the properties of the well-known input-output canonical forms. Algorithms for the transformation of a generic input-output model to a multi-structural one and for transformation between ‘ adjacent’ multistructural models are then proposed. The use of the models in on-line multivariate identification is also discussed and a numerical example given. Keywords
