Deviation from Beer's Law Caused by Spectral Interference

Abstract
A cause of deviation from Beer's Law is discovered. It is the presence of excess indicator in the standard solutions of the calibration curve when the indicator absorbs. The deviation is negative with either solvent or blank-reference. Theoretical and experimental evidences are given.Keywords
