Abstract
Considers LEED by a metal preceded by its image potential barrier and derives the corresponding S-matrix for energies near the threshold where a beam has grazing emergence. The authors establish that the electric surface resonances of the Rydberg series type caused by the image potential have a perfectly smooth continuation above the threshold. This publication has 7 references indexed in Scilit:
