Abstract
Extensive trials on motor vehicles operating in a variety of climates have confirmed the reliability of the laboratory thermal cycling tests for assessing the thermal stability of plated ABS in service. The tests have also shown that satisfactory corrosion resistance is obtained in service with the minimum 12μm nickel deposits specified in the new British Standard for plated plastics. Keywords
