Abstract

Methyl (�)-cis-10,11-epoxy-7-ethyl-3,11-dimethyltrideca-trans-2,trans- 6-dien-oate (I) has been synthesized via 6,7-isopropylidenedioxy-7- methylnonan-3-one. The route is also applicable to the synthesis of homologues and analogues.
