Abstract
A study was undertaken to investigate the laying performance of dwarf pullets, under the influence of varying levels of Protamone (trade name of thyroprotein, contains 1% thyroxine activity) in the diet. No significant difference in metabolizable energy values was observed between dwarf and non-dwarf layers. The overall reproductive performance was significantly lower for dwarfs than for non-dwarfs. Protamone feeding had no significant effect in improvement of metabolic or reproductive efficiency of dwarf hens. Keywords
