Abstract
The temperature dependences of the magnetic properties and Kerr spectra of MnBi and MnBiAl films below room temperature were investigated. It was found that the saturation magnetization of MnBi film increases about 5% and the Kerr rotation at a wavelength of 700 nm increases about 20% when the temperature is lowered from 300K to 80K. No obvious influence on the magnetic properties and no apparent variation in the Kerr spectrum could be observed after 5% Al doping of MnBi films. Keywords
